This was a fast and fun read. I’ve also read Number Go Up, which chronicles the rise and fall of FTX and Sam Bankman-Freid. That book was more of a primer about crypto and the industry through the eyes of FTX. This book dives more into (Lewis’ interpretation of) Sam’s mind, the Effective Altruists movement, and the child-like behavior that led to the demise of FTX. He has interviews with the employees, lawyers, psychologist, and friends of Sam so you get a closer look at how it all went down.
