I had no idea that Tuberculosis was still a thing. This book addresses how this disease has proliferated throughout history and killed so many people. It has some sweet moments where you see how people have change while dealing with the disease (the statehood of New Mexico and the invention of the cowboy hat!). It also has devastating parts where you see the cruelness of humanity (racism, stigmatization, and false claims about cures).

My worldview is changed. I have hope, but work still needs to be done to eradicate tuberculosis!
